It is official....the Thanksgiving Special is a huge DUD.....I cancelled our long standing reservation....They jacked up the price on the room....no meals are included...a rather ordinary Thanksgiving meal has replaced a fabulous feast....no more fun activities....they trashed a great old library in favor of a bigger bar in a desperate attempt to "improve" a classic resort....they replaced fun family activities with so-called extreme adventures that only appeal to a tiny demographic....they have nothing for us now so....we are looking for a new place that is fun with good food and great atmosphere...Farewell Mountain Lake....who cares if the water level in the lake is rising....they have ruined a classic retreat and replaced it with a dull stupid bland "big box type motel" the only things left are good memories...but most of all we will miss all our friends...the guests and the wonderful people that helped make Mountain Lake the unique and original destination it was....I wonder where Buzz is this Thanksgiving?
