We are so excited that sea turtle nesting season starts today!
We want to remind everyone that conventional lighting confuses and disorients sea turtles and their hatchlings. When out on the beaches at night, please keep your lights off or use red/amber lights!
A few other tips:
1. Knock down your sand castles at the end of the day
2. Do not disturb sea turtle nests or sea turtles that are trying to nest
3. Do not dig large holes and be sure to fill in holes of all sizes at nightfall
4. Leave only footprints👣
