Some of the best things in Philadelphia happen right outside our front door. 🔒✨
Meet the Philadelphia Hope Fence, a 250-foot love lock fence right here along the Penn's Landing Waterfront Promenade. It was created in 2017 by Dan and Sarah Keating as a gift to the city, inspired by the iconic love lock tradition on the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris. Dan, a cancer survivor, dedicated the project to the American Association for Cancer Research, and from day one, it's been a place where anyone and everyone can come to tell their story.
Thousands of locks now line this fence. Anniversaries. Recoveries. Losses. Dreams. Proposals. Each one a moment someone wanted to hold onto forever.
And we're so proud to have been here for all of it.
If you've never visited, or haven't been by in a while, now is the perfect time. Grab a lock, find your spot, and add your story to the fence. Don't forget to drop your key in one of the boxes along the wall and tag us to share your story.
