You can start with 75-foot Cummins Falls and its beautiful gorge swimming hole, followed by Burgess Falls, where the Falling Water River makes several drops before its huge finale. Cul-car-mac Falls, also called Carmac Falls, is a 90-foot beauty on the private grounds of Evins Mill, so visits must be arranged ahead of time. Then head to Rock Island State Park for Twin Falls and the rushing waters around Great Falls. Piney Falls drops 80 feet through old-growth forest, while Fall Creek Falls State Park adds Cane Creek Cascades, Cane Creek Falls, and towering 256-foot Fall Creek Falls. Virgin Falls requires a tough nine-mile round-trip hike, but its 110-foot waterfall comes from a cave and disappears underground again below. Stinging Fork Falls is a 30-foot fan-shaped cascade, while 110-foot Ozone Falls drops into a rocky bowl and was used for scenes in The Jungle Book. Finish at Northrup Falls, a 60-plus-foot drop tucked inside beautiful Colditz Cove.
