Rivergirl Sunshine Sunday

This morning, Kelly captured an arc of color in the sun rays surrounding them on the Sunrise Sunday float. I’m grateful she has amazing photography skills 😉 but also it served as a reminder.

Rainbows are a symbol of promise.
A reminder that after storms come healing.
After uncertainty comes hope.
After the rain, light returns.

Standing on the river and watching sunlight break through the trees, scattering rainbows across the water, it’s hard not to pause for a moment and let that sink in.

Different people see different meanings in a rainbow. For some, it represents faith. For others, belonging. For others still, the hope and freedom to live openly and authentically.

Maybe that’s part of its beauty.

One arc of color.
Many stories.
One reminder that light has a way of finding us.
