June 6, 2015.
Back then, we weren't heading out to look at land for a campground. We were just out enjoying a ride through the Texas Hill Country with friends.
What we didn't know was that somewhere along that road, a dream was starting to take shape.
Eleven years ago, Jennifer and I made the decision to build what would eventually become Al's Hideaway Cabin & RV Campground in the Texas Hill Country. We had no investors, no big corporate backing, and certainly no guarantee of success. Just a vision, a lot of faith, and a willingness to work harder than we ever had before.
Since then, we've poured our hearts, our savings, and countless hours into creating a place where strangers arrive as guests and leave as friends.
We've celebrated victories, faced setbacks, weathered storms, welcomed thousands of guests, made lifelong friends, and built memories we'll cherish forever.
Looking back at this photo, I don't see four people getting ready for a motorcycle ride.
I see the beginning of a journey that changed our lives.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way.
Happy 11th Anniversary to the dream that became Al's Hideaway.
