Most of our guests find us online and have no idea where we actually are. They book on Airbnb or from an AI search, buy plane tickets, rent a car, and fly into Asheville expecting to drive into the middle of nowhere.

So for three years now, the question we’ve heard more than any other is: “How far is the nearest grocery store?”

The answer always surprises people. Several grocery stores, restaurants, breweries, and one of the cutest little downtowns in the US are all under 10 minutes away. You can spend the evening galavanting downtown and feeling like you’re in a Hallmark movie, or stay in your pjs and order DoorDash. Both are perfectly acceptable.

My dad always said the number one rule in real estate is Location, Location, Location. We listened.

So yes, you’ll feel like you’re tucked back in the woods. But everything you might need is just down the road.

Spend the day in the mountains. Don’t spend it driving.

People always ask us the same thing about the sauna.

We get it. We designed and built it ourselves as one part of the circuit at Mirror House: sauna, spring-fed cold plunge, and hot tub, all overlooking a private waterfall.

Would we build another? We’d love to, but we have plenty to keep us busy here for now.

There's one drive in these mountains that we tell every single guest about, and October is when it's at its best.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is especially beautiful in the fall. You’ll drive through stretches of yellow and orange trees, with plenty of overlooks where you can stop and take in the mountain views. If you’re lucky, you might even catch the clouds sitting low in the valleys. Give yourself time to pull over along the way because the views change around every turn.
