The Ilewicz brothers closed out their annual fishing trip to Tall Timber with a corker of a rainbow - nice fish, Jim!

Think "smaller" when fishing the river right now - small tippets, small flies, but maybe you'll catch a big fish ...

As stated previously, the fishing on the Trophy Stretch has been a challenge. The fish are there but not always cooperative, so changing your setup and approach might be the best course of action right now. My advice is to "think smaller", both with your setup and fly selection.

Tall Timber guest Dan M. had a good day on the Trophy Stretch with NH Fishing Guide Nick Proulx (www.northernwaterguide.com) last week. Rainbow trout and landlocked salmon are always good battles and Dan was up to the task.

Nick's schedule is booking up quickly for June, so book something soon to get out on the water with him ...

Tall Timber was proud to host N.H. Fish & Game's "Becoming an Outdoors-Woman" program recently, as the participants learned the basics of fly fishing on the Connecticut River's Trophy Stretch with the help of experienced volunteers.

It was a beautiful weekend for them to experience the river and we hope this starts a lifelong joy of fly fishing for all of them.

Overall, it's been a beautiful Memorial Day weekend at Back Lake, and we want to remember and thank those that sacrificed everything to make it possible.
