Nine Mountain is a retreat & workshop center located in the beautiful Berkshire hills of Western Massachusetts. We specialize in hosting intimate and well-served group retreats for academic, business, artistic, spiritual, and other groups in a peaceful natural setting. Nine Mountain is available to rent for weekday meetings, weekend or week-long workshops, B&B stays, weddings and more. Check our a

vailability on our website or call our house phone at 413-634-0321 to inquire about reservations. We provide sleeping accommodations for up to 26 guests in a mix of private and dorm-style rooms, and for weddings/parties can host up to 75. Larger events are possible in collaboration with our neighbor, Earthdance, and in cooperation with nearby B&Bs.

Our Story

At Nine Mountain Retreats we intentionally craft a home space for learning, research and exploration in the realms of human connection, spiritual practice, social change work, embodiment and the healing arts. We host, produce and facilitate group retreats, intensives, courses and workshops that support this work.

The aim of our work is to support and engage in the development of global “regenerative culture” – a life-affirming, highly creative human culture, wherein human needs are interwoven with the rhythms and needs of the natural environment, enabling both human and natural ecosystems to regenerate in harmony with each other. To this end, we particularly welcome native and indigenous teachers; to this end, we particularly welcome leaders in social change movements; to this end, we particularly welcome environmental activists, permaculture practitioners and deep ecologists.

Nine Mountain envisions a diverse network of resilient, interrelated communities spanning the globe, supporting a thriving human society that nurtures systemic health, radical self-expression, maintains ecosystem integrity, and inspires reverence for life.

Mid-week meeting space for local businesses and non-profits is also available - please contact to inquire about staff retreats and day rentals.
