Enjoyed visiting with a couple of Harley riders who checked into the Carriage House last night. They are traveling from NYC to Sturgis, SD for the 2026 motorcycle rally. They were impressed with the wide open spaces of South Dakota, and the beautiful sunset as they made their way into Platte. They also mention that it was a little eerie how quiet it is around here 😊. I hope they had a restful night.
