๐กโค๏ธ Thereโs a strange feeling that comes with saying goodbye to a home youโve shared with hundreds of people.
For years, the Chalet wasnโt just a house we owned. It was a place we opened up to families, friends, couples, kids, grandparents, dogs, birthday celebrations, holidays, rainy weekends, snowstorms, and fun memories. ๐
We welcomed people we had never met into a home that held a lot of meaning for us, hoping they would make their own memories there.
And now, as we move through selling the Chalet, Iโve been going back through the guest book.
There are so many incredibly kind notes. People who loved the house. Families who came back year after year. Guests who told us they didnโt want to leave.
And then there was THIS. ๐คฃ๐
โExcept its super haunted. Like dawg we seent 3 figures in the house โฆ but no one was in the house. Ainโt no cap dawg. Straight facts yer heard. Get this jawn checked out cus ainโt no one sleepin up in here.โ

Well.
That is certainly one way to say you enjoyed your stay. ๐
Apparently while we were busy worrying about whether the hot tub was clean, the fireplace was working, the WiFi was fast enough โฆ
THREE GHOSTS WERE APPARENTLY JUST HANGING OUT.
And nobody even put them on the reservation. ๐ณ๐คฃ
Looking back, thatโs actually what makes this whole thing so bittersweet. We didnโt just rent a house. We shared a place that became part of so many peopleโs stories.
Some left us beautiful memories.
Some left us hilarious reviews.
And apparently some left us with three paranormal guests who didnโt bother checking out. ๐ป๐
We wish the story could have continued differently. We would have loved to keep sharing the Chalet and watching new families make memories there.
But things change. Life changes. Sometimes a chapter ends even when youโre not quite ready to close the book.
So, as we work our way through this next chapter, weโre trying to remember the good stuff.
The laughter.
The families.
The friendships.
The countless memories.
And, of courseโฆ
the ghosts.
Because apparently, according to the guest book, theyโre the ones who arenโt ready to leave. ๐๐ป๐ก
