This video is from 2020. The kids were smaller, the years ahead felt endless, and we had no idea how quickly these ordinary lake days would turn into some of our favorite memories.

Lake Erie has been our family’s happy place for years. We’ve watched our kids grow up here—summer after summer, sunset after sunset, always coming back to the same familiar place. 🌊

Now one of the sweetest parts of sharing our home is getting to welcome other families here and hearing about the memories they’re making, too.

We hope Vacation Point Port Clinton can become the kind of place your family returns to year after year. The place where you take the same picture and notice how much everyone has grown. Where the kids know exactly where they want to go first. Where traditions form without anyone really planning them.

One of our favorite parts of sharing Vacation Point Port Clinton is hearing that our guests felt comfortable, cared for, and at home here.

We’ve put so much thought into making our little place on Lake Erie somewhere you can settle in, slow down, and simply enjoy being away… whether you’re here for a couple’s getaway, a family vacation, or a few quiet days by the water. 🌊

And apparently, a little lake magic doesn’t hurt either. ✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another happy stay at Vacation Point Port Clinton!

If you think Lake Erie season ends with August… we have a little secret: September is one of our favorite times to be here. 🌊

The summer crowds start to thin out, but there’s still plenty of time for:

🍽️ dinner downtown without peak-summer crowds
⛴️ a day trip to Put-in-Bay
🌅 quiet evenings by the water
🎣 fishing and boating
☀️ soaking up those last warm lake days
🧘‍♀️ or doing absolutely nothing for a few days—which we highly recommend

Our community hot tub is also typically open into September, weather permitting.

We only have a handful of September dates left for 2026, so this is your chance to sneak in one more lake getaway before fall arrives. 💙

🍂 Prefer sweater weather? We also welcome October stays! Marblehead and the surrounding parks are beautiful when the leaves begin to change, and fall is a great time to explore the area at a slower pace.

For the past 17 years, Lake Erie has been our happy place.

It’s where we’ve celebrated birthdays, watched countless sunsets, skipped rocks, laughed until dark, and made memories we’ll never forget.

When we bought our little haven on the lake, our hope wasn’t just to own a place by the water. It was to share memories across generations of our family into the future.
