One of the things that makes Florida's Forgotten Coast so special is that nature isn't something you have to search for. It often appears when you least expect it.

Our guests tell us stories about dolphins swimming past the deck while they enjoy their morning coffee, sea turtles and starfish in the clear waters of St. Joseph Bay, bald eagles soaring overhead, and even the occasional bobcat spotted along Cape San Blas Road.

With so many new followers here lately, I thought it might be time to reintroduce myself and the heart behind Cape San Blas Getaway. ❤️

Years ago, we fell in love with the quiet beauty of Cape San Blas. We were taken by the uncrowded beaches, the sunsets, the slower pace, and the feeling that families could truly relax here. What started as a "we can try this” adventure eventually became Beach Camp, Good Fortune, and Sweet Necessity.

Cape San Blas Getaway is a small family-owned business with three homes that we personally care for and manage with an incredible team. We intentionally keep things small so we can provide a more personal experience for our guests. We know every detail of our homes, personally communicate with guests, and truly care about creating a wonderful vacation experience for every family that stays with us.

The second photo was taken in 2015 while we were building our very first home on the Cape, the original Good Fortune. At the time, we never could have imagined that one dream home would eventually grow into the four homes we’ve built over the years and the three we proudly share with guests today.

What started as a love for Cape San Blas has become something far more meaningful than we ever expected. Watching families gather, relax, celebrate milestones, and return year after year has been one of the greatest rewards of this journey.

We are incredibly grateful for the many families who have supported us over the years with kind words, referrals, repeat visits, and so many 5-star reviews. Your support means more to us than you know.

🇺🇸 July 4–11 at Beach Camp or Good Fortune 🇺🇸

The best part of a beach week isn’t always the beach.
It’s the pancake breakfasts before anyone changes out of pajamas. Kids running back and forth between the pool and the kitchen. Game nights get louder as the week goes on. Watching fireworks together after a long day in the sun. Staying up too late and talking on the deck while everyone else slowly drifts off to bed.

That’s what a Fourth of July week at the Cape feels like.
A full week to slow down, reconnect, laugh a little more, and make the kind of summer memories your family talks about long after vacation ends.
