Come check it out for yourself! Every Fortland stay includes access to the depths of historic Fort Scammel, for those willing to explore. We offer self-guided exploration as well as guided walkthroughs with our staff!

We truly wouldn’t be ‘Fortland’ without the ‘Fort’!

Interested in a longer tour & a shorter island visit? Portland Explorer Tours operates a 90-minute Fort Tour (which includes round-trip boat transportation) that can’t be missed! (And Fortland guests who stay 2+ nights often have the opportunity to tag along too!)

It took a second… but we’re officially OPEN for our 2026 season! ⛺️🌊🚤

Our yurts and tent cabins have been transformed from off-season storage to beautifully-furnished spaces for guests to unwind after island adventures.

📆 Book a stay at the link in our bio! We’re open Thursday - Sunday* nights through the second week of October.

*For the first time, we’ll be open 7 days a week in mid-July through August!

Our 2026 camping season begins THIS Thursday… and we heard you’re in need of a staycation⁉️

The summertime temperatures are rising, but our prices have DROPPED! Maine Locals, make the most of last-minute bookings and save BIG.
