Chili Cookoff rules for Saturday.

12:00 pm - Cooks should be at the large pavilion to sign up and receive a judging container. If you want to participate, and cannot be there, text Lisa at 214.673.0497 and let her know.
5:45 pm - Submit your container of chili for judging. Please do not be late!
Each contestant must provide their judging container 3/4 full of chili.
Containers cannot be marked or altered from what was originally given to them.
When you arrive at the pavilion, take your chili sample to Lisa Flynn-VonBergen by the judging table. Place the rest of your chili on the designated table.
Note: Chili will be judged without any extras. Do not place cheese, fritos, etc on top of the chili in the judging container.
Chili is given to the judges at 5:45. It will be scored on aroma, consistency and taste.
6:00 pm - Winners are announced, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive rewards.
GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE BEST CHILI WIN!

It was a very successful Labor Day weekend!
The Kerosene Drifters were fantastic Saturday night, I am so glad everyone liked them.
We had 14 contestants/7 teams for corn hole, and 7 cobblers.
Special thanks to those who helped me this weekend:
Tom Form and Wade VonBergen for cooking the sausage in 106 degree heat.
Michael and Tracy Walden for hosting the corn hole tournament.
Brad VonBergen, Tim Rulla and Mitch McConnell for being cobbler judges.
And of course Mark and Cindy Kuneman for having the Greg Guymon band, with special guest, our own Randy and Lori Anderson.
The winners of the corn hole tournament were Brad VonBergen and Tony Knox. Great job!
Second place was Micheal Walden and Chris Flippo.
The winner of the cobbler competition was Lori Anderson!
Second place was Samantha Talley.
The next event will be September 26th for the Open Board meeting and meet the candidates.
We will not be doing the Italian dinner since it was moved back a week, so I will be out of town.

This is a long message about all of the events, so stay with me!

The Kerosene Drifters will be playing at the pavilion from 8 PM to 11 PM Saturday night. You may have seen them at the George Tavern, and they are playing at the Rythm and Rails music festival in Denison, September 12. I hope you enjoy them!

 For the co****le tournament, you can either sign up by clicking the below link on Scoreholio or, sign up in person from 9:30 to 10:45 Sunday morning. At 10:45 teams will be chosen and games starting at 11:00 am.
Medals will go to the first and second place winners.

If you would like to enter a cobbler in the competition, either text Lisa at 214.673.0497 with your name, lot number, and what type of cobbler it is. Or, have it at the pavilion at 5:45 sharp. Judging will begin at 5:45. 
First and second place trophies will be given.

Dinner will be around six-ish. The club is providing smoked pork sausages, and condiments. Please bring a side dish.

Onsite registration will open at 9:30 AM the day of the tournament, but will end at 10:45. At that time we will random draw for 2 person teams, get the brackets and court assignments set then start playing at 11:00. I will enter the game scores through Scoreholio, where the bracket can be viewed and shared as well.
