Beautiful

Montana's beauty is not always defined by nature - sometimes it is defined by the backdrops of our towns. This is Main Street in Livingston, looking south with the 'Apsolooka Mountain range behind. Of course, the white man has changed the Crow's pronunciation to 'Absaroka' or 'Absarokee' mountains.

This snap was taken by Adrinanno Ricci several years back. Livingston got its beginning with firstly having the Yellowstone for transporting goods, first named Benson's Landing, then Clark City and finally Livingston.

The railroad was young and two enterprising men saw the potential of it all - A.W. Miles and George Hefferlin... competing by each putting in a movie theater - bank - and bars along with clothing and general merchandising stores; one on Main Street and the other along 2nd Street.

Livingston has quite the big beautiful homes, many made with carved limestone bricks.

If ever there, do take the Yellow Bus Tour and you will learn much. I was a 4th generation native yet did not know much of its history -

It's raining this morning along the Rocky Mountain Front. I so enjoyed stepping out to get the newspaper to the smell of the fresh, clean air.
