Up, up, and away! 🎈 The Crown of Maine Balloon Fest is finally here, and the energy in the City of Presque Isle is unmatched.

For over 90 years, The Northeastland Hotel has stood proudly on Main Street as a gathering place for our community's biggest milestones. Today, as part of Ignite Presque Isle, we are honored to keep that tradition alive by cheering on one of our favorite weekends of the year.

We look forward to celebrating with you all weekend long. Have a wonderful time at the launches, and feel free to step out of the breeze and check out our historic lobby display or grab a bite at Rodney's at 436 Main 🥂

Room? Packed. Vibe? Set.

Trivia records fell on Thursday night as 111 people across 19 teams packed the lounge! The room was buzzing like a beehive on a warm summer morning. We welcomed three new teams, saw a few familiar faces return from hiatus, and of course, had our usual suspects ready for battle.

After the first two rounds, Crème Brule looked unstoppable, holding the lead heading into Round 3. But from out of the darkness came 3 Spicey Margs, delivering an almost-perfect third round to pull even!

It was the sudden death round. The Spicey Margs didn't hesitate. They didn't play it safe. They went all in... Result after sudden death: It was still a tie between Creme Brule and Spicy Margs!

We had no choice... We had to go into The Tiebreaker of Doom. The Thunderdome of Questions. Two teams enter. One team leaves... Victorious! (Don't worry, we're not that crazy down in the lounge after dark).

After an epic battle, 3 Spicey Margs beat Crème Brule! The crowd erupted as the dust settled, and one team stood alone. Following their triumph in the Thunderdome, 3 Spicey Margs were crowned champions and awarded the coveted Aunty Entity Cup —a tribute to Tina Turner's iconic ruler of Bartertown and Queen of the Wasteland!

Congratulations to 3 Spicey Margs, your Trivia Thunderdome Champions!
