We are a family establishment working to serve your family! We offer clean, comfy affordable rooms. Please note, we closed our diner in 2018.

We only have the motel now.

The Scheppard’s Hook Motel has four rooms available this weekend , October 30 and October 31. One of which is pet friendly. We still have rooms for steelhead all November.

THE SCHEPPARD’S HOOK MOTEL located at 8438 State Route 3 Pulaski NY is open year round and all holidays. We are a small mom and pop local owned small business. We have an excellent central location. 3 miles north of the estuary on Rt 3. Eight minute drive to the ball park. 15 minutes to parking for Winona Forrest. Just over 20 minutes to Altmar or Oswego. Minutes to the beaches for summer stays and within a few minutes of SCCS or PACS if you have family that needs a great place to stay for graduation. We are SCCS alumni.

Our rooms are clean, cozy, comfortable and affordable.

We have amenities that are hard to find in our area at an affordable price. Every room has private ground level entry and features its own private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. They all have their own heat/ ac units that are controlled by you, the customer. There is a small coffee pot, a dorm sized refrigerator and a microwave in each room. The coffee pot has a reusable screen filter. Bring your own coffee grounds and creamer, sugar, etc. There are smart TVs with local channels and tons of extra channels. Free WiFi. We provide all the linens and towels. The only soap we provide is hand soap. We have public water.
There is a fire pit with chairs and free fire wood. There is a charcoal grill for guests to use. Please bring your own charcoal. There’s a screenhouse for guests use.
Our grandkids playground is private and not open to the public.

Cash discount rates — taxes and fees included:

• 1 guest: $85/night
• 2 guests: $95/night
• 3 guests: $105/night

Children under 12 stay at no additional charge, but please include them when telling us the total number of guests in your room.

• One-night stays: Add $10
• Non-cash payments: Add $10

Our rooms are thoroughly cleaned and carefully prepared between guests. Because we keep our rates affordable while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, gratuities for housekeeping are always sincerely appreciated.

$225/night for the entire Bunkhouse, whether your group has 2 guests or up to 10–12 guests.

November–August:
Rates begin at $175/night for up to 4 guests and increase according to group size, with a maximum rate of $225/night for 10–12 guests.

AGAIN: these rates INCLUDE taxes and fees.

The Bunkhouse requires considerably more housekeeping than an individual motel room. We work hard to keep it clean, comfortable and ready for each group. A housekeeping gratuity for your cleaner is always sincerely appreciated.

Every motel room has its own private, ground-level entrance, with convenient parking directly in front of the room.

Please bring your own coffee, creamer, sugar and other coffee supplies.

We have public water, and the water is safe to drink.

We provide pillows, but if you prefer several pillows or have a particular type you like, you may want to bring extras from home.

Our family playground is currently private and not available for guest or public use.

We enjoyed sharing it in the past, but unfortunately, repeated damage due to lack of parental supervision has made it necessary for us to reserve the playground and our grandchildren’s toys for family use only.

“It’s been a phenomenal year; there’s a lot of fish in the river. It’s the most fish that anyone’s ever seen in the river,” Dave Falato, the owner of Fat Nancy’s Tackle Shop. “From customers to local businesses, they’ve never seen it this busy.”

Falato has managed Fat Nancy’s for years, waking up bright and early at 3 a.m. to open the store. He was even able to do some fishing himself.

Our grand children’s playground is unfortunately no longer available for us to share with the public. There is an unsafe spot that needs repairs. There was some damage incurred by kids of guests who were not supervising their children this summer, pieces broken off the playground and also kids who wrote on it. Due to the fact that our oldest grandchild was battling cancer I took this damage very personally and we are sad that we can no longer share that space with the public. The damage was very upsetting for our grand kids. ***

🎣🎗️ RAFFLE TO BENEFIT ASHTON MARCUM 🎗️🎣

I’m asking our fishing community, local businesses, friends and neighbors to help us support a local young man who is in the middle of an incredibly difficult fight.

Ashton Marcum is a 2026 high school graduate who was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing sarcoma in April. At diagnosis, Ashton had a very large, inoperable tumor involving his pelvis and surrounding tissue, along with several areas of metastatic disease in his bones.

Ashton is currently on cycle 9 of 14 rounds of chemotherapy and is also traveling from Lowville to Syracuse five days a week for radiation. He has now begun highly targeted SBRT radiation to treat his metastatic sites. His blood counts have caused treatment delays along the way, and his doctors have needed to use additional growth-factor/supportive treatments to help keep treatment moving.

This is an incredibly intense treatment schedule, and the financial burden doesn’t stop with the medical bills. There are high copays, expensive medications and shots, constant travel to Syracuse, gas, meals on the road, and food and other expenses during hospital stays.

This is why we want to help. ❤️
