Once the waters recede on the Heritage Rail Trail, you may notice some new additions along the trail! Five new fix-it stations are currently being installed at the Rt. 30, Brillhart Station, Seven Valleys, Railroad and New Freedom parking lots. A sixth one will also be installed at Hanover Junction within the year. The stations have a stand to put your bike on, a tire pump and various tools that will help bikers to make some necessary repairs before hitting the trail or if they encounter any issues while on the trail.
These fix-it stations were made possible by the York County Economic Alliance and the York County Trail Towns program who purchased all six stations! Thank you to the YCEA for providing these for the users of the Rail Trail! York County Parks maintenance staff are installing the stations. Pictured below are Group Leaders Joe Carbaugh and Frank Berry with the station at New Freedom Train Station that they installed earlier this week!
