Hi, friends - a group of local volunteers, in coordination with local emergency management and fire officials, have created a web page where you can submit donations, list resources you have to help those affected by the Elk Fire, and search a database of submitted resources.
This web page was created by dedicated volunteers to support our community during the Elk Fire situation. Please be assured that we have communicated closely with officials from U.S. Forest Service - Bighorn National Forest and Sheridan County Government in developing this site, and their resource listings have been incorporated into this page. While we have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information provided, any omissions or errors are unintentional.
We invite community members to contribute by making donations, offering up resources, and submitting corrections or suggestions to help us improve this resource. Your input is crucial in ensuring that we effectively support those in need. We will be continuing to improve the website over the next few days, but wanted to get it out there as quickly as possible to help with pressing needs.
All donations made via this page will be held by the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation on behalf of the Elk Fire Benefit Fund. A committee is being assembled to oversee disbursements from the fund according to need. Any funds remaining in the fund after needs related to the Elk Fire have been addressed will be divided equally among local rural fire districts.
Please share this post and this website and help us put this site to work for our communities!
