It was such an honor to attend the birth of a long time friend this past weekend. The strength and determination of a laboring woman is the most inspiring power to behold and I am so grateful this is the path that I'm on!

I also was given the chance to put reading to practice and learned a new skill! Processing a placenta was a beautiful test of how deep I can dig past my comfort zone for something I believe in. A mother's body provides so much goodness, even after birth!

This would be such a huge step forward if insurance companies would acknowledge the importance and benefits of doula work. I hope this catches on all over America!

Proponents see the bill as a way to combat the state's poor infant mortality rate, particularly among families of color who may want additional support and advocacy during the birthing process.

I have been spending lots of time reflecting on my breath and geez what a powerful tool of grounding it is! Our body has given us so much strength to tap into, it's all about knowing how to access that goodness! Happy breathing friends💛
