Trails are open !

The forest road systems to Greenie Peak and Midnight Meadows reopen today after the annual closure. Please be advised that the RROC is still completing its work on some of the roadways, waterbars and culverts. You may experience delays in some areas.
Also, we have received significant rainfall at the top. Go slowly through waterlogged areas and do not go around them as to create wider roadways. This destroys protected grasslands.

At Red River Ski & Summer Area, summer brings the Scenic Chairlift, Pioneer Flyer Seated Zip Line, Summer Mountain Tubing, Hidden Treasure Aerial Park, disc golf, mini golf, Moon Star Mining Sluice Box, and miles of hiking trails.

It's a summertime classic for good reason! ☀️

This month’s Mix-It-Up: the Rio Grande Sotol Paloma. We use Rio Grande Sotol (a smokey cousin of our agave spirits, similar to a mezcal) which mixes a warm desert smokiness with herbal freshness, combined with fresh grapefruit and lime for some refreshing tang, and finished with a Tajín rim to kick all those flavors into a dance.

Simply put: delicious desert drinkin'!

INGREDIENTS:
Highball glass with a Tajín (or salted!) rim
2 oz Rio Grande Sotol
1 oz lime juice
1.5 oz grapefruit juice
1/2 oz agave syrup
Topo Chico
Grapefruit wedge garnish

BUILD:
Grab a rocks glass, rub lime around edges then Tajín the rim, fill with ice.
Combine Rio Grande Sotol, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and agave syrup in a shaker with ice.
Top with Topo Chico.
Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.

Spend Independence Day weekend in the mountains at the Red River 4th of July Parade and Celebration. Enjoy music, games, vendors and family activities in Brandenburg Park throughout the weekend July 3-5. The Independence Day parade begins July 4, at 10 AM, followed by Celebration in the Park from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
