For this years Summer Solstice walking tour, meet the families, I have prepared a mini Remembrance gift bag for this raffle.
This Remembrance gift bag is filled with items to help with grief and healing, and remembering. 🫡
I am also leaving an option apart of this raffle of 1 free reading to connect to a loved one, and 1 free reiki healing session to the lucky raffle winner.❤️
See my wall if you wish to join this walking tour. You can find this event on a pinned post.
To give great care and honor, I have carefully selected the basic but powerful items to complete this customized raffle.
Here I will explain in great details about the Remembrance gift bag for this raffle.
I would live some input if you think I should add anything else to this mini kit?
A large gift bag has books on grief and healing, grief resources, international recipes and ideas for mute supper, and little bit on cemetery history and bunch of Otherworldly goodies, including chocolate(I can not make little cards to put in with descriptions, yet so I am leaving it here until that starts to come together. We all start somewhere and I am good at making gift baskets)!!!
Picture Frame Honors the Connection:
It provides a dedicated, sacred space to anchor a physical memory. Looking at a loved one's face activates brain regions linked to love and comfort, helping the griever transition from the pain of loss to the warmth of remembrance.
Candle Guides the Spirit:
Lighting a candle serves as a universal, ancestral ritual for processing grief. The flickering flame symbolizes eternal memory, offers a gentle focal point for quiet meditation, and provides a warm, physical light to counter the metaphorical darkness of loss.
Box of Tissues Validates the Tears:
It acts as a compassionate acknowledgment that crying is a vital, healthy part of healing. Tears shed during grief physically release stress hormones and toxins from the body, making tissues a practical tool for emotional release.
Sage Lightens the Chest:
Grief often leaves a physical sensation of heaviness in the chest. Sage clears away that dense, stagnant energy, allowing the griever to breathe deeply again.
Yerba Santa Unlocks Trapped Tears:
This "Holy Herb" targets the heart center to gently melt emotional blocks, helping those who feel numb or frozen to safely release their stored trauma.
Jasmine Uplifts the Spirit:
It stimulates brain chemistry to counter the dark, depressive weight of loss, reminding the heart that love, warmth, and hope can still exist alongside grief.
Sage Clears the Heavy Weight:
It physically and energetically cleanses the room, washing away the heavy, dense, and stagnant energy left behind by deep crying, sadness, and trauma.
Yerba Santa Heals the Heart:
Known as the "Holy Herb," it specifically targets the chest and heart chakra, helping to break down walls of grief, release trapped emotional pain, and build emotional resilience.
Jasmine Restores Joy:
It acts as a natural neurological stabilizer that stimulates the brain to reduce depressive moods, soothe anxiety, and gently invite love, optimism, and emotional comfort back into the space.
For those looking to heal their internal or external environment, sage serves as a physical anchor for abstract intentions..I love it in smudges, and tea.
Since this is a cemetery raffle for the families, I have selected grief healing items, and bit of sentiment. Here I am simply leaving the extra information for educational purposes.
Clearing "Stagnant" Energy: Metaphysically, smoke binds to the heavy, lingering vibrations of past arguments, trauma, or illness, physically carrying them out of an open window as it disperses.
Because sage focuses heavily on releasing negative energy to make room for wellness, the chants should emphasize letting go, purifying, and inviting peace.
The Breath Matters:
Speak the chant on the exhale as you wave the smoke.
The breath itself is a mechanism of release.
Repetition Builds Power:
A chant shall be repeated at least three times.
The first time introduces the thought, the second embodies it, and the third locks it into the space.
Personal Customization:
The most powerful chant is one that comes genuinely from thine own heart and current state of need. I am leaving you samples for both sage and yerba santa smudges.
Short & Simple prayers/chants with sage:
"Air clear, smoke rise, wash away what holds no life. Bring me comfort, bring me peace, let all pain and sorrow cease."
For Emotional Healing:
"I release the grief, I release the strain. I let go of bitterness, doubt, and pain. Into this space, pure light will flow, healing my heart and helping me grow."
For Physical Healing & Recovery:
"Smoke of the earth, cleanse this space, fill every corner with healing grace. Strengthen this body, restore the mind, leave all illness and heavy burdens behind."
Yerba santa (Eriodictyon californicum) translates from Spanish to "Holy Herb." It is traditionally used to heal emotional wounds, soothe a broken heart, provide spiritual protection, and release deeply stored trauma or grief.
The chants should reflect boundaries, heart-healing, and resilience.
Yerba Santa is a sweet-smelling evergreen native to the southwestern U.S. and Mexico.
Bundled into smudge sticks, it is burned to purify spaces, clear negative energy, and encourage spiritual growth. Its smoke is also believed to help release emotional pain and set boundaries.
Benefits and Uses of Yerba Santa
Energetic Cleansing:
Clears stagnant, negative vibrations from your home, room, or meditation space.
Emotional Healing: Often used to release heartbreak and heal emotional pain stored in the heart chakra.Spiritual Connection: Used to set boundaries, promote courage, and open the crown chakra.
Traditional Medicine:
Historically utilized by Indigenous peoples to alleviate respiratory issues like asthma, coughs, and bronchitis.
Short and Simple Prayers/Chants with Yerba Santa:
For Grief and Heartbreak:
"Holy Herb, soothe my chest, put all heavy grief to rest. Mend the pieces of my heart, let a gentle healing start."For Spiritual Protection & Boundaries:"Smoke of protection, guard this door, no heavy energy dwells here anymore. Fill this room with love and light, keep my spirit strong and bright."For Releasing Trapped Trauma:"What was trapped is now set free, I reclaim my power and energy. The old is gone, the block is clear, only love can enter here."
Jasmine incense is uniquely prized because it acts as both a neurological stimulant and an emotional stabilizer, making it distinct from traditional earthy cleansers like sage. When educating others, you can explain that while sage clears out heavy energy, jasmine invites in high-vibrational, joyful, and creative frequencies.
Beta waves are associated with alertness, active thinking, and heightened memory.
It stimulates the release of noradrenaline and serotonin, which actively cuts through brain fog, lethargy, and depressive moods.
Simultaneously, components like jasmine lactone increase alpha and theta waves, which are responsible for deep relaxation and a quiet mind. Jasmine energizes the mood without causing anxiety, creating a state of relaxed focus often described as a natural, mild valium-like effect.
Heart Chakra Alignment (Anahata):
Jasmine targets the emotional barriers of the heart. It is traditionally used to break down walls built from trauma, fear of vulnerability, and low self-esteem. It replaces emotional coldness with compassion, self-love, and optimism.
How to Safely Smudge/burn incense
Prepare your space:
Open a window or door to allow smoke—and the negative energy it carries—to escape.
Light the bundle:
Hold the stick at a 45-degree angle, light the tip with a match or lighter, and let it burn for 15 to 20 seconds.
Extinguish the flame:
Gently blow or fan the flame out until the tip is smoldering and producing thick smoke.
Cleanse:
Waft the smoke around your space, yourself, or objects (like crystals), focusing on your personal intentions.
Always hold the bundle or a heat-proof receptacle (like a ceramic bowl or abalone shell) to catch falling ash.
Extinguish: Ensure the bundle is completely out when finished by pressing it into sand or a fireproof dish.
Fire safety first, always.
We hope to see you out there🙏🏽
