Since 2016, we've welcomed guests to stay with us in our newly renovated, early 20th-century home!

Located in the heart of w**e country and just off the Katy Trail, our bed and breakfast is the perfect place to kick off your shoes and unwind in a scenic and peaceful place. Equipped four bedrooms, private bathrooms, and free Wi-Fi, our lodgings perfectly accommodate everyone who stays with us in our charming space. Whether guests want to celebrate an anniversary or just get away for the weekend, everyone can expect to enjoy a relaxing stay in our early 20th-century bed and breakfast.

There’s a lot more history behind The Doll House than its name might suggest.

Built in 1921 by Rhineland’s town doctor, the home later became the place where Ransom Doll raised his family, which is where “The Doll House” name comes from.

Then came the Great Flood of 1993. After devastating flooding, nearly the entire village of Rhineland made the incredible decision to relocate to higher ground. Homes were literally picked up and moved up the hill, but this house stayed.

Today, The Doll House remains one of the few pieces of old Rhineland still standing in its original location, surrounded by land where an entire community once stood. The home was purchased by the Schaefer family in 2003, remodeled and given a new life as a bed and breakfast.

Today, The Doll House is proudly owned and operated by the Stevens family, who have been continuing its tradition of warm, personal hospitality since 2016. Guests can still wake up to a big country breakfast cooked by the owners every morning, making a stay here feel a little more like coming home.

More than 100 years after it was built, guests can still walk through the same doors, sit on the same porches and stay in a home that has witnessed generations of Rhineland history.

It’s one of our favorite things about this place. You’re not just staying near Hermann and the Katy Trail. You’re staying in a little piece of Missouri history.
