It is open to men of 18 years old or older of any color, any religion, nationality or social standing, the only requirement is a belief in a Supreme Being. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, faith, country, and Fraternity.

This past Saturday at the MacArthur Memorial, we gathered to pay tribute to General Douglas MacArthur — a hero, a leader, and a proud Mason whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

The Grand Master’s wreath‑laying ceremony reminded us of Brother MacArthur’s unwavering devotion to our nation and his steadfast commitment to the principles we, as Masons, hold dear.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Virginia’s Masonic Family, including representatives from Virginia DeMolay, the Knights Templar of Virginia led by Right Eminent Grand Commander Michael Huff, and to all the brethren who stood with us. John Marshall (September 24, 1755 – July 6, 1835) was an American statesman, jurist, and Founding Father who served as the fourth chief justice of the United States from 1801 until his death in 1835. He remains the longest-serving chief justice and fifth-longest-serving justice in the history of the U.S. Supreme Court, and he is widely regarded as one of the most influential justices ever to serve. Prior to joining the court, Marshall briefly served as both the U.S. secretary of state under President John Adams and a U.S. representative from Virginia, making him one of the few Americans to have held a constitutional office in each of the three branches of the United States federal government.
