New Year's Eve is almost upon us. Last year we had TWO parties - one at the house and one at the sauna. Dueling parties!! We will have pot luck food AND entertainment - a couple who is staying at the house is bringing a fiddle and banjo and will be playing at the sauna during the evening. Come and DANCE to the Fiddle and the Banjo (as the song says).

There are many ways to skin a cat - likewise, many ways to roast a pig. Our pig was not cooked on a rotisserie spit, but it was laid flat on the rack after being split. Our farm-boy-fabricated pig cooker used wood and wet apple wood chips for a slow cooked roasting process that was not only moist, tender and tasty, but tantalized us for the afternoon with its hunger-inducing aroma.

Rain in the morning gave way to a beautiful sunny, hot afternoon. At least 70 guests enjoyed the party, dining on succulent roast pork and salads and sides and dessert. All day party music was provided by our fantastic DJ Musical Illusion Productions that kept the party going til night when laser disco lights were a backdrop to dancing on the grass. It was a great time and we want to thank everyone who helped out to make this party a success.

Everything IS possible - Amazing Obviously - this tattoo says it all. Thanks to all the help coming in and on saturday. All systems GO for our pigroast. Cooker is ready, pig is prepared and on ice, tents set up, all we need is YOU! Looking forward to a Beautiful day - hope we get a record turnout!

Made in China...Maine...our pig cooker is ready! Goin up to Sidney to pay the pig farmer today! Yes Richmond Sauna buys American! Menu includes all the pork you can eat, homemade potato salad, fresh green salad, corn on the cob, non-alcoholic beverages (raspberry ice tea, lemonade) and pot luck sides and dessert (please bring!) All veggies are fresh from the Seaman's Farm in Litchfield. All for only $15 per person (plus lawn or sauna fees)

Hi here's the update on the DIY pig roast party: Fred's brother Mike got us a 275 gal tank and we're in the process of transforming it to look like this. Hope we can count on some help in set-up and music will be provided by Musical Illusion Productions fro m mid afternoon into the night. Sides, salads, desserts are welcome. Iced beverages (non alcoholic) will be available. Cost is $15 per person
