Comfort takes a community that shows up.

For new board member Matt Clarke, serving The Doorways means showing up in more ways than one. Matt has also joined his colleagues from TowneBank in the kitchen to prepare meals for our guests.

It’s one example of what partnership looks like at The Doorways: local businesses and community members sharing their time, talents and support to care for our guests.

Because making The Doorways feel a little more like home isn’t the work of any one person. It takes a community.

As one of the first friendly faces our guests meet, Amber brings so much light and joy to The Doorways. She is bubbly, deeply caring, and genuinely loves our guests. She has a gift for making people feel welcome from the moment they arrive, and The Doorways is so much brighter because of her.
