Happy National Cat Day from Kelly Kitty! 🐱❤️

Around Clearwater Ranch, Kelly Kitty has mastered the art of supervising from a safe distance, finding the best sunny spots, and looking mildly disappointed in whatever the rest of us are doing. 😂

She may not float the Frio or help around the ranch, but she definitely acts like she owns the place.

Today belongs to Kelly Kitty... although if you ask her, every day already does.

Steve, Shelly, and of course Haggard.

They’re part of the personality of this place just as much as the river, the cabins, and the old ranch sign out front.

Steve and Shelly are usually somewhere around the ranch visiting with guests, checking on things, or telling a story, and Haggard is never too far behind.

For a lot of people, seeing these three means one thing:

This is what a day on the Frio looks like when the whole crew shows up. 🌊🍔

Some are in the water, some are cooking, some are standing around talking, and somehow everybody ends up gathered in the same spot before the day is over.

That’s one of our favorite things about Clearwater Ranch.

You bring the people. We’ll provide the river, the shade, and plenty of room to make a whole day out of it.

Good food, good company, and the Frio right at your feet. Hard to beat that.

But there's something bigger than BBQ behind this competition.

Every summer, Steve and Shelly spend time volunteering with the Real County Junior Horse Club They've seen firsthand what this organization means to the kids who participate. It's more than learning to ride a horse. It's about building confidence, learning responsibility, making friendships, and keeping a Texas tradition alive.

For some of these kids, the barn is where they find their confidence, the horses become their best friends, and the people around them become family.

That's why Smoke Show on the Frio proudly benefits the Real County Junior Horse Club. When you sign up to compete, you're helping support something that makes a real difference in the lives of kids right here in our community.
