๐ Vermontโs sweetest season is here.
Just behind the inn, our little sugarbush is waking up. The days are getting warmer, the nights are still cold, and the maple trees are starting to run โ which means itโs time to tap them and collect the sap that will become our very own maple syrup.
Over the next few weeks weโll be gathering sap right here on the property and slowly boiling it down into small batches of pure Vermont maple syrup that weโll have available at the inn.
Fun fact: it takes about 40 gallons of maple sap to make just 1 gallon of syrup, which is why every drop feels a little bit magical. Vermont also produces more maple syrup than any other state in the U.S. โ over half of the countryโs supply.
Thereโs something special about watching this process happen right outside the door. Winter slowly turning into spring, one bucket of sap at a time. ๐
