PERMANENTLY CLOSED DUE TO HURRICANE HELENE & FLOOD! We gave it a GREAT run for 25 years and really appreciate all of you who camped during that time. Unfortunately the flood washed out many trees, shrubs, beach and created large washouts & gullies making it hard to navigate and impossible to repair. I repaired the home which I still travel to (and may rent at some point). I have cameras, a security system, and people living onsite watching over it. PLEASE do not enter the property trying to camp or boon dock anyway. I no longer maintain proper licensing or insurance to run a campground now.
For tent, RV or cabin camping, I recommend:
Roan Mountain State Park or
Plum tree campground in Newland, NC or
Doe River Gorge MInistries Hampton, TN
