Performs sales and customer service functions related to guest registration, reservations, and revenue collections, in a manner that will ensure Hampton Inn guests receive a safe and secure place to stay with friendly, and attentive service.
• Adhere to Employee Handbook Procedures

• Model & supports company values including confidentiality

• Team player. Not afraid to be hands on.

• Well working professional relationship with supervisor and co workers.

• Neat appearance by following Hilton Standards Handbook

• Must be neat and organized.

• Good communication with guests. Interaction and Follow up.

• Planning, suggesting, and participating with new ideas.

• Organizes the reservations for the days arrivals. Checks for duplicate reservations, and determines special room requests. Pre block special request rooms.

• Performs the functions of the front desk including; check ins check outs, reservations, answering phones, providing wake up calls, etc.

• Check in guests according to Hampton credit policies.

• Insures that guests problems are resolved and followed through

• Understands the operation of all aspects of daily operations including switchboard, PMS, computer, etc

• Provides information concerning hotel, facilities and functions, as well as, their location.(Ex rooms for disabled, directions to and from airport, location of ice and vending, fax number, extensions of departments and personnel etc)

• Provides security for guests by never releasing names or room numbers

• Familiar with property security and key control procedures, as well as fire safety procedures

• Performs tasks assigned by property management

• Completes laundry duties as necessary

• Completes any additional tasks assigned by management

• Completes paperwork necessary for front desk operation (registration cards, folios, credit card vouchers, cash reports, room reports, etc)

• Responsible for the cleanliness of lobby, desk areas, and bookkeeping areas.

• Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 35 pounds

• Guidelines may be modified at any time deemed necessary.

• Ensuring that that all operational aspects are adhered to by self and staff.

• Taking immediate action to respond to positive and negative feedback given from guests

• Work scheduled shifts according to Schedule Guidelines sheet to control labor.

• Prepares work schedules and ensures housekeeping standards are met.

• Completes regular monthly inventories linen, cleaning chemicals, and laundry chemicals. Prepares requisitions, or place orders for those items and room supplies. Ensures that budgeted expense goals are met through proper usage and control of items. Maintaining proper inventory & stock of all required items for all departments to work efficiently and effectively while controlling purchasing costs.

• Maintains security for guests and property by insuring that room doors are locked at all times, keys are controlled, lost and found articles are properly logged and securely stored, reports suspicious activity by guests or others, and observes all security and safety regulations.

• Cleans rooms or works in laundry when necessary due to low occupancy or required number of employees are not available to do those jobs.

• Insure that self and employees adhere to dress policy including wearing nametags & proper attire.

• Prepares and submits guideline sheet to ensure accurate status of all rooms and explains any discrepancies in rooms rented versus rooms cleaned

• Reports maintenance problems by completing work orders and follow up on maintenance work in rooms to ensure that work is completed.

• Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of hotel rooms, interior corridors, exterior when necessary.

• Performs or coordinates other tasks as assigned by the General Manager, such as, mattress rotation, cleaning of bedspreads and blankets, etc.

• Ability to lift, push, pull a minimum of 35 pounds

• Continues to grow and learn all aspects of department for personal growth.

• Guidelines may be modified at any time deemed necessary.
