Sunny, known to many as Nimblewill Nomad, has always dreamed of creating a welcoming space for hikers along the Pinhoti Trail. Thanks to the generosity of Lloyd and Tammy Caperton, their rustic cabin on a beautiful wooded ranch in Weogufka, Alabama, is now the Southern Comfort Hiker Hostel. This donation-based hostel is ready to serve hikers, offering a place to rest and connect with the community. We are currently working on building a cabin for Sunny to make this dream a reality. We are open for the Fall hiker season. Call Chuck (Randy Anderson) for a reservation. We have 8 indoor beds (6 bunk style) a full kitchen, bath front porch overlooking the pond and tent and hammock sites. We are donation based and are located just off the trail at app. Mile 8 on the Pinhoti. Thank you.

We're pleased to announce that our tax exempt 501(c)3 status has been approved by IRS. Please consider making a tax deductible donation. All donations made previously qualify for tax deduction. Our GoFundMe is still active.
We are extremely grateful for the support we've received! Financial support, labor, prayers, construction materials...we are overwhelmed by the support and the knowledge that so many of our friends believe in what we're doing and want to be a part of it. God has definitely blessed our efforts. There are items on our current checklist that need to be done before we open in a month or so. We are excited to see the end in sight and to be close to opening our doors to hikers on the Pinhoti Trail and the Eastern Continental Trail.
