Happy , campers!

This week, we're heading to the Hoosier State’s Land of 101 Lakes. This campground is a lakeside retreat, perfectly positioned off the longest road in the U.S. This is year-round camping at its finest, whether you're here to stay or just passing through.

The amenities list at this campground is long. Like, really long. We're talking four playgrounds, co****le, volleyball, and basketball. A pristine private sandy beach. A dock for fishing and boating. Even a fish cleaning station! You could easily spend your entire trip exploring what's available right onsite. And with hundreds of campsites to choose from, every type of camper finds their perfect spot. Pro tip: if you’re bringing your four-legged camper, be sure to check out this KOA’s Paw Pen Sites.

Need to venture off-property? The campground's namesake town is just 5 miles away. Plus, you're less than three hours from Chicago, Detroit, and Indianapolis, making this the ideal home base or convenient stopover for any road trip.

So... which KOA is this? Drop your best guess in the comments below! We'll reveal the answer tomorrow. Good luck!

❤️ Neighbors Helping Neighbors! ❤️

We are proud to once again host the incredible volunteers of Disaster Response North Carolina Baptists on Mission here at Cape Hatteras / Outer Banks KOA!

As Dare County faces another nor’easter and a state of emergency, these amazing volunteers have answered the call once again, serving meals to the essential workers keeping our island moving, including Dare County personnel, DOT crews, and ferry workers.

This is their second time joining us in less than a month, and they were ready to help as soon as emergency ferry operations began! When life gets uncertain, it’s people like these who remind us that kindness, generosity, and community are always stronger than the storm. ❤️

We are so grateful to host this wonderful organization and support the important work they do throughout North Carolina!

If you feel inclined to support their mission, you can donate here: https://baptistsonmission.org/give/ - Your generosity will help them continue supporting Hatteras Island and disaster relief efforts across our state.

Thank you, Baptists on Mission, for showing up when our community needs you most! ❤️

While KOAs offer a consistent basecamp across North America, the landscapes surrounding them are entirely unique. Take, for instance, our northernmost and southernmost campgrounds.

Up near the Arctic Circle, Fairbanks / Chena River KOA in North Pole, Alaska, sits right along the Chena River. It’s the ultimate basecamp for spotting moose and eagles, exploring the tundra, and witnessing the breathtaking Aurora Borealis.

Travel nearly 5,000 miles southeast, and you’ll trade the tundra for paradise at the Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA Resort in the Florida Keys. Here, warm ocean waters, sunny beaches, and iguanas take center stage.

North, South, East, or West, from the pine trees to the palms, there's a KOA waiting for you. ☺️⛺️🌲🌴

Well here we are once again. The ocean has a way of reminding us that things move at their own pace. 💙 We just wanted to check in and let you know we are taking things with this storm day by day and look forward to the time when we can welcome our guests back to the Island.
Thank you to everyone who has checked in and kept us in your thoughts, we're missing our campground community and can't wait for beach days, campfires, and familiar faces! 💛

It's time for , campers!

Combine prehistoric finds with all the benefits of modern camping at this week's KOA. Strategically located near Route 191, this campground is the perfect pit stop for Western road trippers.

The campground's variety of RV sites accommodates everyone, from the van lifers to the motorhome enthusiasts. Choose from pull-thru, back-in, or KOA Patio sites and spend less time setting up and more time relaxing. No RV? No problem. Stay in a ultra-comfy Deluxe Cabin or a classic tent site.

The area is known for its abundance of dino finds. Under 20 miles away is Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see over 1,500 fossils on exposed cliff face. Other state parks in the area provide boating and fishing with views of dinosaur tracks along the way. After you've channeled your inner paleontologist, camp is a welcome respite. Challenge your fellow campers to a game of horseshoes or giant jenga, cool off in the pool, or take in a movie under the stars.

The question is - what KOA are we talking about? Comment your best guess below! The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's comments.

🌊💪 Clean-up efforts are already underway!

Our incredible team takes so much pride in this campground, and they’ve been working hard to get everything cleaned up and back in shape. We’re making progress every day, and it’s amazing to see things looking a little better. We’re so grateful for a team that cares so much about this place and puts in the work to get it back to its best. 🚜❤️

We still have a lot ahead of us, but we’re making great strides and will keep at it! 💙

A little update from our KOA. 💛

We know most of you have been following the storm, the road closures, and everything happening across the island. We wanted to share a few glimpses of what we’re seeing here at the campground. The storm left its mark, but we have the best guests and team who have been making the best of their time here, and we’re grateful for the smiles, campfires, good company, and positive spirits around here.

At this time, visitors are still unable to access Hatteras Island. For the latest information on road conditions and access, please check drivenc.gov or darenc.gov

If you have an upcoming reservation or questions about your plans, please give us a call. We’re happy to talk through things with you and help however we can.

We’ll keep sharing what we see from our little piece of Rodanthe and clean up efforts are already underway. Thank you to everyone who has checked in, reached out, and kept Hatteras Island in your thoughts. 🌊💛
