Elite frontier adventures offers adventures on 150 private acres in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee. Reserve one of our theme suites or choose to rough it in a fifth-wheel camper and teepee. We provide all meals and equipment for your adventure.

Cody and Heidi up from Pigeon Forge to escape the crowds today. Leaves are changing, temps are cool and horses are loving it. Fall is THE time to ride in the Tennessee mountains.

It’s been a little while since a Woodrow update. He is doing awesome. I lead out on him with family riding Saturday afternoon. I’ll lead out on him the rest of this week, giving Pepsi a much needed rest. I think Woodrow will be guest ready with another 20 rides or so. I have about 80 rides on him so far. I like this mule! Today, he’s jamming to a little “Forrest Gump” soundtrack. 😂

After grazing all day, our herd is anxious to go back to work with new riders tomorrow. Leaves are changing daily now. Temps are great for riding. October/November are our busiest months of the year. We have a few days left open right now but they are going fast.

Up from Gatlinburg for Carolina from Canada’s first time ever on a horse. Yes, she was very nervous but as always, Jack took extremely good care of her.

Juan and Emily, beginners, took advantage of the cool fall temps. Leaves haven’t changed yet but the first signs are there. A couple more weeks we should be in full color.

Two groups yesterday…. 2nd ride in the afternoon was with Suzanne and Darin. Temps were back up in the 80s. Horses were feeling it a little bit. So was their guide 😏. We thought the hot days were done. Now we are supposed to be 52 for the high tomorrow. 🤔😳

Mother/daughter fall break morning ride. Can’t quite believe it’s 80 degrees this time of year. We are all ready for some cooler temps. Especially the horses. Full sweat this morning and we ride again this afternoon.

Michael’s fall Apple butter party is Saturday. He’s ready to show off Big Bubba. Nearly 1500lbs and placed 2nd. Koy and Zealand loved seeing it today.
