Building community in a small town is kinda like making chili. Bear with me here...

You have to be willing to put in the work, but also the time. You need a little spark to start the burner, but then it's all about the slow simmer where everything comes together.

Food has been doing that for us, as it always does–

Taking cornbread trials to our neighbors
Searching for the best ingredients and, of course, finding farmers behind them
Competing in the Heritage Days chili cook off and serving about a hundred people from our ladle
Drinking good coffee and sipping good b**r right here in our own tiny town

Six months ago we didn't know hardly a soul. Now when we go out for tacos at the new spot, we can't help but know someone.

And while there's so many folks we don't know yet, I'm feeling like it's just a matter of time.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Rogersville. We are so lucky to be here.

Cheers to three trophies and and heck of a lot more to be grateful for.

Now *this* is what small town dreams are made of.

Catch us at the chili cook-off pretending we're on Top Chef and taking it just as seriously. The beans are canned, the recipe is developed, and the beef is grass-fed baby Mccracken Cattle

No experimenting on Thanksgiving.

That means classics like sweet potato casserole (Laura Ann Heeke's recipe), a beautiful ham (locally sourced Sustainable Meats), and winter vegetables simply prepared for your family gathering – at our table or yours.

After your meal you and the fam can catch up while we tidy up, pack your leftovers, and disappear.

Did we mention pie? Now *that’s* a holiday.
