I like Belize for travelers who want activity and relaxation in the same trip. The key is giving the rainforest and the reef enough time to feel distinct.

I look at the inland activities clients are excited about, the kind of water experience they want, and the transfer required between the two regions. Then I decide how to divide the nights and which portion should come first.

I love a well-planned travel wardrobe, but I also want the suitcase to work when the trip includes trains, stairs, uneven walkways, and several hotel changes.

For a multi-stop itinerary, I recommend versatile layers, fewer bulky shoes, and a realistic laundry plan. One useful test is whether you can control your suitcase with one hand while managing a door, railing, or smaller personal item with the other.
