Today, the world lost an original.

Long before we ever imagined The International Cowgirl, Dolly Parton was already showing us exactly what one looked like.

A little country. A lot of glamour. Fiercely independent. Wickedly funny. Smart enough to build her own empire and generous enough to use it to make other people’s lives better.

She never had to choose between rhinestones and substance, between where she came from and where she was going, or between being a woman of the mountains and a woman of the world.

She could be all of it.

And she was.

To us, Dolly will always be The Original International Cowgirl.
