We put together our top tips for a smooth, memorable show day. As a local favorite just 30 minutes from the amphitheater, we’ve seen it all… and we’re here to help you have your easiest Gorge weekend yet.
Here’s a quick look at our top tips:
• Give yourself a real meal before (or after) the show.
Lunch at Gård Public House is a favorite pre show ritual — relaxed, delicious, and perfectly timed for early arrival. Staying overnight? We’re also a great next day stop to refuel before the drive home. You can even grab food or wine to go for the campground.
• Arrive when parking or camping opens.
The first hour is consistently the smoothest. If you can swing it, plan to get there early.
• Check traffic before you head out.
Summer construction — especially on the Vantage Bridge — can slow things down. If you’re coming from western WA, consider crossing early, stopping for lunch with us, and heading to the venue with plenty of time.
• Prepare for the weather.
The Gorge swings from hot and sunny to chilly after sunset. Pack sunscreen, a hat, and layers.
• Plan ahead for next year.
Concert weekends fill up fast. The Inn at Gård Public House offers modern, comfortable guestrooms just steps from the restaurant — an easy home base (30 minutes from the Gorge) for show nights, wine tasting, and exploring the area. We can also connect you with a ride to and from the venue.
