Our Happy Place St. Augustine

As most of you know, we bought our first vacation rental in Florida in 2022. We have had a year full of incredible memories with lots and lots of amazing guests! We learned a ton about managing a rental remotely and about the beautiful city of St. Augustine. There were a few challenges we could not change about our home (the fact that we would never be walking distance to the beach) and the back yard flooded in every rain (the city had no drainage system and we were a corner lot.) As much as we loved all the trips to Florida the past year, we realized this was not our dream location. So….we decided to sell the house and be more strategic in finding our next vacation rental. One thing that we would like to do is do more direct bookings with friends and family and less bookings on the platforms. We thought we would take a survey and see what your favorite places to vacation are as we are looking in different areas. If you could take a minute and reply with 1st and 2nd choices and your preference in a rental we would LOVE to have your input! For those of you that visited our home this past year—we are SO HAPPY you enjoyed yourselves at our place! It has been a joy to serve you!!! We just earned Superhost again—thank you!

Within an hour, I had a personalized video message from Cindi thanking me for booking and sharing useful information about things to do/places to go while we were in St. Augustine. I have stayed in several Airbnbs, and "Our Happy Place" was one of the best! The home and family vibe are perfectly aligned with me, so staying there definitely felt like I was HOME. The entire house is great and has everything you'll need, but...the backyard is a vacation all its own complete with a grill, fire pit, bench swing, swing set, pergola, and outdoor seating! If you have small children, Cindi and Don have kid-friendly plates, flatware, and cups! The two times I reached out to Cindi and Don, I had a response within minutes!!
