The best corners of Napa Valley aren’t always found in a vineyard. Sometimes they’re merely across the street tucked inside a bespoke tailor shop with books of fabric stacked high. Need to work on your short game? He’s got a putting mat ready to go and a whiskey quietly poured while measurements are taken.
Today we spent time with Mickey at Modicum Bespoke, talking craftsmanship, fit, and the disappearing art of making things by hand. His custom garments have found their way onto Post Malone and other notable names, though the spirit of the place feels far removed from celebrity culture — more old-world atelier than fashion flex. Family-built, deeply personal, and obsessed with detail in all the right ways.
We have a feeling a few custom pieces are in our future. There’s something timeless about supporting people who still believe quality should be felt, not advertised.
