Our famous Frenchie Breakfast is a labor of love and one of the guest favorites we’re known for! Flaky croissants filled with our Quiche Lorraine, paired with rich brioche French toast topped with homemade strawberry sauce, hand-whipped amaretto cream, and toasted almonds.

Every plate is thoughtfully prepared from scratch because we believe our guests deserve THE VERY BEST. When can we serve you, too? 👑 ❤️🍓🥐 💐

What a beautiful evening at the cottage. The garden is glowing in the soft evening light, a gentle breeze is rustling through the flowers, and everything feels peaceful and unhurried.

🌿🍷 A beautiful morning at High Cotton Cottage!

Today we had the pleasure of serving a garden-grown roasted red pepper and feta frittata paired with fresh avocado toast to four lovely ladies visiting from Oklahoma. After a relaxing breakfast, they’re off to explore the charming shops on the Saint Jo square and enjoy all that North Texas Wine Country and sister towns has to offer.

Here’s to good food, great friends, local wine, and making memories in Saint Jo. ❤️

DFW folks keep “disappearing” to Saint Jo on weekends… and honestly? We get it. 👀

One minute you’re stuck in traffic and group texts… the next you’re sipping Texas wine, wandering through fine art, treasure hunting in boutiques, touring the museums, grabbing dinner on the Square, and listening to live music under big North Texas skies.

Saint Jo’s got that small-town magic people don’t realize they’ve been missing.

There’s something about this room that feels like stepping away from the noise of the world and into stillness. 🤍

The Henry David Thoreau room at High Cotton Cottage was inspired by one of my favorite passages from Walden — words that stayed with me long after I first read them when I was young. So much so that years later, I made a solo trip to Concord to visit Walden Pond myself and reflect on the life and writings of Henry David Thoreau.

There was something deeply grounding about standing in the place where he chose to live deliberately, surrounded by nature, simplicity, and quiet thought. That feeling inspired this little corner of the cottage — warm woods, soft textures, gentle light, and a space meant for slowing down and breathing a little deeper.

We bid farewell to another incredible weekend at the cottage, where our cherished guests created unforgettable memories!!! Between unwinding in the cottage's beautiful surroundings and venturing out to explore, they made the MOST of their stay. Highlights included sampling local flavors, shopping on the square, wine tasting, and enjoying live music at Red River Station – a weekend truly to remember!!! Now THAT’S THE WAY to seize the day!!
