370 Lakeside Park is a 300-acre park with a 140-acre lake for fishing and boating (no gas engines), 5+ miles of walking trails, and an RV park.

The park also has picnic areas, park pavilions, sand volleyball, an archery range and a members-only dog park.

The City of St. Peters is hiring a full-time Lakeside Security & Operations Worker to help keep the park safe, welcoming, and ready for visitors.

From monitoring park activity and assisting campers to managing reservations, supporting events, and handling light maintenance, this role offers a little bit of everything. You’ll work directly with visitors while helping keep park facilities and operations running smoothly.

If you enjoy working outdoors, helping people, and taking on a variety of responsibilities, this could be the opportunity for you.

Full-Time | 40 hours per week | 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. | Weekdays, weekends, and holidays

What kind of winter are we in for?

According to American persimmon folklore, slicing open the seed of a locally grown native persimmon can reveal a shape that may “predict” the coming winter. A fork is said to mean a mild winter, a spoon points to lots of snow, and a knife means cold, biting winds.

We decided to put the folklore to the test using a persimmon from one of the trees at 370 Lakeside Park.

Here’s what we found! We definitely don’t want to see a spoon… so maybe it’s a fork?

Partial Trail Closure at 370 Lakeside Park:

A portion of the trail is temporarily closed today, Wednesday, October 21, and Thursday, October 22, while repairs are completed in the area shown on the map.

The trail is expected to reopen Friday, October 23.

Please use the map to plan your route and avoid the closed section while work is underway. Thanks for your understanding!

There’s nothing quite like a sunrise at 370 Lakeside Park.

This photo was captured yesterday morning and is a great reminder that the park opens at sunrise and closes at sunset each day.

As the days get shorter, be sure to plan your visit with daylight in mind so you have plenty of time to enjoy the trails, lake and views before the park closes for the evening.
