Cute outfit with hand knitted pieces for Salem’s inaugural Pirates Festival. Backyard tranquility with the annual brief appearance of the delicate little white Bloodroot flowers. Home made whole wheat sourdough with rosemary and cheddar is a staple here. Spring brings an abundance of yellow Forsythia flower cuttings for the kitchen.

Annual First Muster on the Salem Common as Salem is the birthplace of the National Guard. To see it from a wider historical lens, we must ask what they were mustering for back in the 1800’s. Unfortunately, it was to gain dominance over Indigenous people for territorial purposes. Just like Salem’s Witch Trials, it’s all about land grab. Come to Salem and learn much more lesser known histories that are now coming to the fore.
