Better know as CFI, this camp offers over 30 merit badges as well as many speciality classes. These speciality classes allow scouts to sail 16' catamarans, learn survival skills or learn how to safely operate a person watercraft.

☀️🏕️⚜️ As our final week of summer camp at Camp Fiesta Island comes to an end, we're grateful for a season filled with adventure, grit, growth, and unforgettable memories.

This last week brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and determination from the Cub Scouts who joined us, making it the perfect way to close out the summer.

From our staff, thank you to all the Scouts, Leaders, and Parents who spent part of their summer with us. We appreciate your support and the trust you place in our program.

⚜️🐟🚣‍♀️🥾 Adventure is around every corner at Camp Fiesta Island!

Our Cub Scouts spent the day exploring, learning, and having a blast. At one station, Scouts were teaching each other how to tie knots. At another, they were out on the water enjoying boating adventures. Others set off on a GPS-guided hike, while another group cast their lines from the beach and tried their luck fishing.

From teamwork and outdoor skills to confidence and fun, every activity is another opportunity for Cub Scouts to learn by doing. The smiles say it all!

🏊‍♂️ A big shout-out to our Camp Fiesta Island lifeguards! 🌊

During Swim Classification, our lifeguards take extra time to work one-on-one with Scouts on the Elementary Backstroke, a stroke many Scouts have never learned before arriving at camp. Their patience, coaching, and encouragement help Scouts build confidence in the water while developing an important lifelong swimming skill.

It's just one more way the CFI Aquatics Team goes above and beyond to help every Scout succeed. Thank you for making safety, learning, and fun a top priority! 👏⚜️

🪶🪶 A special visitor stopped by Camp Fiesta Island today! 🪶🪶

During a Cub Scout lesson, a beautiful Great Blue Heron casually strolled right into camp, giving our Scouts an unforgettable up-close look at one of San Diego’s most impressive birds.

Moments like these remind us that nature is one of our best classrooms. Seeing wildlife up close helps Scouts build curiosity, appreciation, and respect for the outdoors.

Today at Camp Fiesta Island Webelos / AOL Summer Camp, our Cub Scouts put their navigation skills to the test by learning how to use GPS units! 🧭📍

The Scouts discovered how GPS technology helps determine location, practiced entering coordinates, and used their new skills to navigate to different points. It was a fun, hands-on activity that combined outdoor adventure with STEM learning and problem-solving.

Great job to all of our Cub Scouts for embracing the challenge and exploring the world of navigation. Adventures like these build confidence, teamwork, and curiosity; one waypoint at a time! 🌲🐾
