Join us at Ragged Point Inn, as we reopen. Here’s the scoop: ☀️ 🌊

🔥 💨 Today (Tuesday, September 8), the Plaskett Fire is 37% contained and no nearby areas are actively burning. Skies overhead are not smokey.

🚧 🚗 Highway 1 is open to the south of us, but is still closed just north at the San Luis Obispo / Monterey county line. There is no detour to the north. We’ll update you as this changes.

🏩 🥱 The Ragged Point Inn Hotel is fully open.

👰🏽‍♀️🤵All scheduled weddings will take place as planned.

🍔 🌭 Our Sandwich Stand is serving hot dogs, fries, burgers, and sodas — Today (Tuesday) - Thursday, 11 am - 4 pm. It will be closed again, beginning Friday.

👩🏻‍🍳👨🏻‍🍳 Our Restaurant will reopen on Thursday, 8 am - 11 am, noon - 4 pm, 5 pm - 8 pm.

Please travel safely and watch for firefighters, firefighting equipment, and law enforcement. 🚒 ⚠️

Ragged Point Inn will start reopening, beginning today with our Snack Bar, Market & Gas Station, and Hotel & Gallery. We so appreciate the many, many firefighters from throughout California who have saved our homes, our business, and our everything. Our sincere thanks to every one of you. Thanks, too, to those who have communicated with us throughout these challenging days so we’ve known how to respond (at least sort of).

We are so excited to announce this weekend’s concerts!

🎶🔥🍗 Saturday from noon til 4:00, we’ll be welcoming the Hazard Canyon Band to Ragged Point for the very first time. And to make it even more special, we’ll be serving up our almost-famous Santa Maria-style barbecue, and will be donating all barbecue proceeds to the CABS (the Community Association of Big Sur) to help with fire relief efforts for the Big Sur community! 👫

🎶 🎸 🎵And Sunday, one of our very favorite acts, the Jill Knight band, will be performing on the lawn from noon til 4!

Why not join us both days? 🆓 Admission to concerts is free as always, and all are welcome. Our Restaurant, Snack Bar, and Coffee Shop will be open their usual hours.
