We’ve been so happy to be able to bring back our creative residency and even happier to have staying in our Sun Suite and working out of our adobe shed for the past 3 weeks.

She’s been making some incredible work and will host the reception next Thursday at The Parador from 6-8p.

Our Story

Oldest Inn in Santa Fe. Located a short walk from the plaza, free parking, free Wi Fi, afternoon tea time, with 15 rooms. Best breakfast in town!

The building that now houses El Paradero was originally an adobe farmhouse, built in the early 1800s when New Mexico was still under Spanish rule.

After serving as a family home for over a century and a half, El Paradero became a hippie commune in the late 1960s, at the peak of the Rainbow Coalition’s gatherings in Taos and surrounding areas.

The founders of El Paradero Bed and Breakfast, Thom Allen and Ouida MacGregor, bought the building in the early 1970s and put years of love and hard work into restoring and converting it. In various phases, they added on to existing rooms, and refurbished the original adobe farmhouse in keeping with historic styles and building codes.
