Help save one of our state treasures…

The Bureau of Land Management has allowed just seven days for comments about a proposal to reduce or eliminate a buffer zone protecting Chaco Canyon from oil and gas development.

Sen. Ben Ray Lujan said of this maneuver by the BLM, "Allowing just seven days for public comment on the fate of a 1,000-year-old sacred site is inadequate and disgraceful."

The comment period ends Tuesday, April 7th, but I don't know exactly when that means so do it early. Make your opinion known by going here and clicking on the "Participate Now" button:

The Song of the Silent Bond

In the heart of the forest,
where the trees breathe the stories of ages,
there is a language older than words,
spoken through silence and the wind's soft call.

The earth cradles us in its embrace,
teaching us that strength lies in stillness,
that trust is found in the quiet glance,
and the heart beats in rhythm with all that surrounds.

In the dance of the leaves,
in the sway of the branches,
we learn the power of listening,
to the beat that unites all things.

And though the world is vast,
we find our place in the simplicity,
where wisdom flows like water,
and the spirit of connection is felt, not seen.

The Light of the Spirit

In the quiet of the night, we listen,
To the whispers of the winds, ancient and true.
The spirit speaks in stillness,
And we, with open hearts, hear its call.

The path is not always clear,
Yet in our hearts, we find our way.
The strength of the earth flows through us,
A reminder that we are never alone.

In the light of the stars, the song rises,
Of unity, of peace, of love unspoken.
We walk in the footsteps of those before,
Guided by the spirit, forevermore.

Blessings on this International Women’s Day and to the most important woman “Mother/Madre” of all, the 🌎.
Treat yourself, lay down, close your eyes, and use this hour long piece as a beautiful meditation. 💞
I especially love this about 11 minutes in when the man sings and later with the whale sounds!

We knew we were in the Top 50 favorite campgrounds list by Hipcamp but didn’t realize that they analyzed data from 500,000 campgrounds in every state on private land, public parks, and RV parks and took account and based this on camper reviews and much more. Pretty cool 😎 👍!
