Help save one of our state treasures…
The Bureau of Land Management has allowed just seven days for comments about a proposal to reduce or eliminate a buffer zone protecting Chaco Canyon from oil and gas development.
Sen. Ben Ray Lujan said of this maneuver by the BLM, "Allowing just seven days for public comment on the fate of a 1,000-year-old sacred site is inadequate and disgraceful."
The comment period ends Tuesday, April 7th, but I don't know exactly when that means so do it early. Make your opinion known by going here and clicking on the "Participate Now" button:
