Labor Day in Savannah ✨

The unofficial end of summer in Savannah. ☀️

Labor Day always feels like that little pause between summer and whatever comes next. And while Savannah definitely isn’t getting the fall weather memo anytime soon, there’s still something about this weekend that makes it feel like summer is starting to wind down.
We’re so grateful for the work we get to do, the homes we get to care for, the guests we get to welcome to Savannah, and the people who trust us with such a special part of their lives.

But today, we’re also really grateful for the rest.

A day on the water. Time with family. Salty air, sunshine, and all those little things that make us love this corner of the Lowcountry so much.

As much as we love sharing Savannah with all of you, sometimes it’s nice to get out on the water and remember just how lucky we are to call the Lowcountry home, too.
So here’s to soaking up one more long summer day, being grateful for the work, and making time to enjoy the rest.

Hope everyone has a happy and restful Labor Day. 🤍🇺🇸

If there’s one thing Savannah does really well besides pretty streets and historic houses, it’s coffee. ☕️🤍

And as someone who considers trying a new coffee shop a perfectly acceptable vacation activity, narrowing this list down was not easy.

For the latest Hosting Savannah Mini Guide, I’m sharing some of my favorite coffee shops in Savannah. These are the ones I go back to again and again and where I always recommend to guests visit if they want a great cup of coffee downtown.

☕ Asher & Rye
☕ Collins Quarter Café
☕ Origin Coffee Bar
☕ Franklin’s
☕ Flora and Fauna
☕ Gallery Espresso
☕ PERC Coffee
☕ The Paris Market
☕ Savannah Coffee Roasters

Some are perfect for grabbing a coffee before wandering the Historic District, some make you want to sit and stay awhile, and a few are worth the trip for the atmosphere just as much as the coffee.

Basically, if your Savannah itinerary involves planning your day around where you’re getting coffee... we could be great friends!

Save this Savannah coffee guide for your next trip, send it to your travel buddy, and tell us below which Savannah coffee shop would you add to the list? 🤍

Comment COFFEE below and I will send you the link to my full coffee guide.

September in Savannah is officially here and there is SO much happening around the city this month. 🤍

From free live music along the river & the Savannah Jazz Festival under the oaks in Forsyth Park to local markets, Mamma Mia! at the Historic Savannah Theatre, Oktoberfest in Starland and a few of my favorite weekly happenings, September is one of the best times to visit Savannah.

A few I am especially excited about:

🎷 Savannah Jazz Festival
🛍️ River Street Art Market
🎶 Eastern Wharf Fall Concert Series
🍻 Oktoberfest at Two Tides
🎭 Mamma Mia! at the Savannah Theatre
🇺🇸 Free admission day at Fort Pulaski
🥕 Forsyth Farmers’ Market every Saturday
🧘 Free Yoga at Eastern Wharf every Sunday

Whether you’re visiting Savannah this September or lucky enough to call it home, save this post so you don’t miss what’s happening around town!

Introducing: The Hosting Savannah Mini Guides 🤍

After years of welcoming guests to Savannah, there are a few questions I get asked over and over again…

Where should we get coffee?
Where should we brunch?
Where do you like to shop?
Where should we make dinner reservations?

And if you know me, you know I LOVE answering them.

So I decided it was time to start putting all of my favorites in one place.

The Hosting Savannah Mini Guides — Savannah, a few favorites at a time.

I’m starting with places I genuinely love and find myself recommending again and again, from coffee shops and brunch spots to local shops and restaurants.

And because narrowing anything in Savannah down to five is nearly impossible, consider these five of my favorites, not necessarily the only five worth visiting.

But this is just the beginning.

I’ll be breaking down each Mini Guide individually with all the details, why I love each spot and the little local tips I share with guests.

So SAVE this one for your next Savannah trip and SEND it to whoever you’re visiting with. 🤍

And tell me below — what Mini Guide would you like to see next?

There’s something about Savannah’s Design District that just gets me every time. ✨

Maybe it’s because it feels a little like walking through a real-life issue of Southern Living 🤍

Or maybe it’s because it combines so many of my favorites in one place - beautiful interiors, independent boutiques, flowers, fashion, coffee, and Jones Street.

Consider this my little nudge to add an afternoon of walking Whitaker and Jones to your next Savannah itinerary ✨

For the perfect morning, start at Asher + Rye - it sits on the corner of Whitaker and Jones and is part home store, part design studio, part cafe, part garden. This is where that Southern Living feeling really starts for me.

Grab a latte. Walk the shop. Then explore. 💐

Darling Lemon | Stationery & Linen Gifts by Ksenia Phillips is a paper lover’s dream. This sweet little paperie is full of stationary, notebooks, linens, and more.

One Fish Two Fish is a Savannah classic and helped establish the cluster of design-focused businesses you see here today. Inside, it has everything you didn’t know you needed: jewelry, candles, decor, accessories, and finishing touches that make a house feel collected.

The Annex is the One Fish Two Fish sister store, adding fashion to the mix.

PEACHES is the sweetest stop. It’s a whimsical but sophisticated children’s boutique, perfect for a baby gift or something special for your little one 🎀

H A N N A H E. feels like a lesson in true Savannah style. It’s effortless and polished, with pieces that feel personal, creative, and actually wearable.

Madison & 5th is a luxury designer consignment shop tucked right into the Design District. Walking through the doors feels a little like joining a secret society of fashion lovers 🛍️

Calle Las Ferias brings something fun and completely different to the neighborhood. This boutique highlights emerging and exclusive Latin American designers. The pieces feel special, colorful, and unexpected in the best ways ✨ Everythin
