This morning when I removed the quilt from the machine, instead of loading up another one...I decided to do this instead. Not quite finished! And certainly not a professional finish , but I'm happy with it! This old chair has been waiting for a makeover for around fifteen years. Yes that long!

Stitching a few temperature hearts down. Numbering each one to keep them in the correct order. Yes I am machine stitching this part, I want to finish this thing in this century!

This is my COVID quilt.!!

I finally got the binding on and ready to snuggle up under. I kept the quilting very minimal, because I wanted soft and fluffy, I used a wool batting.

The company I was working for did a major layoff due to the country shutdown, so I found myself without a day job... not really sure what to do with myself. There was this shop hop still going on... Everyone was wearing masks.. and social distance. It felt really strange, most businesses were closed, the quilt shops had stayed open to finish this shop hop, some of them were going to be opening by appointment only. It all seemed a bit unreal. This quilt felt like a good way to spend my time, and a good reminder to Bee Kind during a trying time.

Currently, I am struggling to maintain my enthusiasm for continuing work on my temperature quilt, as I have fallen nearly a month behind schedule. However, with only four months remaining to complete the project, I am determination to find motivation and see it through to completion. Despite not finding binding particularly engaging, I have successfully completed seven bindings, with one still requiring hand-stitching, resulting in six completed and two remaining. As previously noted, binding does not inspire me. Back to hand-stitching the temperature hearts.
