The Etrusco and Its Era: Scituate, America, and the World in 1956

Presented by Scituate Lighthouse Caretaker & Historian, Bob Gallagher

Guests will hear the Etrusco story and much more as research reveals the optimistic, rapidly changing days of 1956. Local, state and national stories will sit side by side with events on Cedar Point. 1956 was full and all over the country there were stories that resonate today the way the Etrusco story resonates.

The Town of Scituate is seeking to enhance the elegance of the Maritime Center with a water or nautical-themed artwork that celebrates the identity, history, and natural beauty of Scituate. The selected piece will be donated and permanently housed at the Scituate Maritime Center.
